This Privacy Policy describes how CoStudio Pte Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of tubetrends (the "Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you create an account, request a demo, or contact us, we collect the information you share — typically your name, email address, company name, role, and any content of your messages.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we collect log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URLs, timestamps) and device data (operating system, device type). We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and security; see Section 7.
Information from third parties
We derive market-intelligence signals from publicly available YouTube data and, where applicable, from supplementary providers. This processing does not use your personal information.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To authenticate your account and secure our systems;
- To communicate with you about the Service, including service notices and support replies;
- To send product updates, research, and marketing — you can opt out at any time;
- To analyse usage patterns and improve product performance;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis (for example, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation or Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act), we rely on one or more of: (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract with you, (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers — third parties who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email, payment, customer support). They are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Legal and safety — if required by law, subpoena, or regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CoStudio Pte Ltd, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We will notify you of any change in ownership that affects how your information is handled.
- With your consent — whenever you direct us to.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings — disabling them may affect functionality.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. 9. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information — including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. International data transfers
We operate globally, and your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own. When we transfer personal information out of its home jurisdiction, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses where required).
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or through the Service). The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
13. YouTube API Services
tubetrends uses YouTube API Services to retrieve publicly available data from YouTube. We access only public data through the YouTube Data API. We do not request, access, or store any information from your personal YouTube or Google account, and tubetrends does not connect to your YouTube account via Google sign-in (OAuth).
By using the Service, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
What we store, and for how long. Consistent with the YouTube API Services Terms:
- Publicly available statistics (such as view, like, and comment counts), and any derived metrics we calculate from them, are stored for up to 36 calendar months.
- Other YouTube data (such as video titles, creator names, and comment text) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, in accordance with the YouTube API Services Terms.
Derived metrics. Any scores, rankings, momentum indicators, or other insights that tubetrends presents are generated independently by us from publicly available data. They are not sourced directly from, nor endorsed by, YouTube or YouTube's API.
